When employees are travelling long distances to see clients or visit different offices we set up a car share so no more than one person is driving to the same place or we arrange for them to use public transport, this helps to reduce CO2 emissions.
We are committed to playing a key role in our local community, we understand that as a business we have grown from the local communities where our offices are based and want to make sure we are putting back into them.
We purposely go out into the community trying to create long lasting partnerships so we can work closely with other local businesses, local schools and nurseries, local councils, clubs and societies. We understand that these people and groups make up the community and where we can offer help we most definitely will. Our Regional Practice Managers set up and coordinate opportunities for each branch to be able to support their local community. This involves;

Charities & Sponsorship:
We are passionate about helping and supporting local charities where our branches are based. Each year the staff votes for a local charity that they would like to support and fundraise for throughout the year.
We take part in events that the chosen charities have put on for the year but also create our own to help fundraise.
We support other causes during the year but our main focus is to liaise with our chosen local charity which means that we help promote this charity by only placing their literature in our branches.
In gratitude and to support and assist our local community the staff at EHL are to take part in ‘community giving’ – a programme of events lending time, energy and assistance to local people / organisations that often require an extra pair of hands.
We know how hard it is for the staff to work and also contribute towards charity so to make sure our team get involved we provide 2 Community Days a year for them to take after a charity event.
Communities and Relationships:
Our aim is to build long-term relationships with our clients, suppliers and local communities by encouraging our employees to consider the needs of others and involve themselves in community projects.
We always conduct our business relationships with integrity and courtesy, the Company has evolved over time whilst always maintaining a strong commitment to its core values. We have never forgotten that we are here because of our clients who have supported us over many years. We are proud to be at the heart of the communities in which we serve and we are equally proud of the team that we have to provide such service.
We have carefully designed our offices to be accessible and approachable for families.
As a firm we are passionate about making our services accessible for families and welcome children into all of our branches.
We have meeting rooms based downstairs making it easier for parents with young children and buggies to meet with our solicitors.
We’re always thinking about how we can develop our services to benefit families and have created some helpful literature for parents. Our Moving Home with Young Children brochure gives parents useful hints and tips to make their move go as smoothly as possible and keep children involved.

We will always market to our prospective clients in an ethical manner and never falsely advertise or manipulate marketing information.
We seek to promote honesty, fairness and responsibility in all advertising by researching any information prior to releasing it.
We want our clients and third parties to gain knowledge from posts that are published on social media therefore our team work hard to write blogs that are interesting and informative on legal services.
We don’t want our clients to ever be left in the dark so we go out of our way to give them the information they need for example; free legal clinics, in house presentations, guest speaking, free webinars.
